Okay, okay, other than the big hair, big earrings, high shorts and shoulder pads, don't you think the fashion was great??? I mean, the leg warmers (they're so sexy with pumps!!) the long, flowy night-gowns, the off-the-shoulder sweaters... I think it was great and wish I could've been there! At least that had more dignity... but anyway, why is everyone freaking out with that era??? It seemed like a whole lot of good fun (even the hair seems nice- lol) !

I like that era of fashion too when I was a kid toward the late 80's I had the La Gear sneakers and all the different colored leggings.
I love that leg warmers have came back!I have on some right now. I think the reason that 80's fashions are coming back is that that era in time was a lot of fun.Plus if you ever notice how back in the 90's people where trying to go back to the 70's. So I guess one could say that fashion just repeats it's self over &over again.But hopefully the big shoulder pads in blouses won't come back! I also like some of the fashion examples that you gave too.

Fashions they go on a-changing.The 80s fashions are already almost a quarter of century old. No doubt they were quite seductive( I belong to that age when I was younger) but the current fashions which are more revealing are more honest. This age believes in more directness and,unless you are also of my age group ,you would also agree that this attitude which permeats the entire life styles has its appeal, especially the contemporaries who are similrly inclined. So while the fasions of old no doubt were attrractive they have lost charm for the contemporaies.
Who knows they may even come back. You must not have failed to notice the cyclical motion of fashions.

I agree. I was there in the 80's & I always wonder why people have brought back the 70's styles. They were bad enough in the 70's...let them rest in peace, please! I loved the 80's, the guys dressing like "Miami Vice" stars, we never had to look at their boxers! Big hair was fun, when you went out you dressed up, not like a ho. The music was cool too. In 1 road trip you could hear, Quiet Riot, Willie & Waylon, and the whole Footloose soundtrack!

Yeah, those were the days! Spiked hair, mohawks...the decade of punk rock and funky makeup. Devo, Adam Ant, Madonna...WOOOOHOOOO!!
I believe the reaosn people freak on that decade is because it was mostly Reaganomics and cocaine and partying were really exposed. Most of us growing up teenwise then, have block outs. You just can't remember. Ask anyone who was a teen or in their 20's. I am included. I really enjoyed the music. It really blossomed and branched out. PRINCE was sexy, yum yum!

There was so much fashion then. What you described is only a small portion. Some of it, like what you described, was horrible. Other parts of it like the acid washed torn jeans( naturally torn, not this hollister lets pre tear ****) and the leather of the goth and punk and rock scene were great

I think that the fashion back then was cool, and have no idea why people act that way about it. It might be that they arent familiar with it, if they're like 20 and down.But the people who were alive then, i dont know, if thats what you mean. Hope I could help! Bye Bye. :^)

lots of colour, that's for sure.
I started high school in 1981, and the fashions were fun, but sometimes a bit bizarre.

nicely it become after the 70's so perhaps extremely of the flair pants or i imagine leather would were round that factor. like the fast outfits with the extreme ponies and the leather jackets and the boots. lol perhaps do not take my note Google it to be positive.
