Get some newborn things and some 0-3 month things. You also might want to get a few packs of diapers...MAKE SURE TO SAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERYTHING...EVEN DIAPERS! Most stores will not let you exchange/return diapers without a receipt...I found out the hard way.
I used layettes for a while with my son, they are wonderful!!
Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers for a newborn, they fit great, don't leak, and are cut so they don't cover the belly button.
I wish you luck and happiness, congratulations!
P.S. Belly Laughs and Baby Laughs are books by Jenny McCarthy and they are super funny...

It helps to be prepared for when the baby comes, However you don't know what size the baby is going to be some are born small and others are born large like 10 lb.
Have a few of each size because baby's grow fast so don't worry if the outfits are a little bigger, they will grow into them fast.
A better idea would be to buy up a lot of diapers, wipes, diaper ointment, fever/pain reducer, laundry detergent, gas drops, teething rings/tablets, and baby toys for under a year old...
congrats and good luck

I were given pregnant with this toddler even as my son changed into 4 months previous to the day! I actually have had an really delicate ordinary being pregnant, and my usual practitioner has never reported some thing about them being close together. We had a miscarriage 6 weeks beforehand getting pregnant with our son. So we figured if we choose one extra, then bypass ahead and save them close together. My oldest turns 4 next month, toddler is 10 months, and this ones 28weeks1day in utero. So with the miscarriage i have had 4 pregnancies in 4 years. not had any issues, and it hasn't ruined my body in any respect. truly i in my opinion seem extra acceptable than ever beforehand, now that I actually have some curves and boobs lol.

U need to get the sizes that says newborn or get those little bags or boxes they have everywhere. Go to Target and they have plenty of cute newborn baby items. If you are looking for onesies then you need to get the ones thats says newborn 0-12 months that should fit the baby unless it is a premy then you need to get the premy sizes.

Get lots of onesies. Several in all different sizes so you have them as your baby out grows them. And of course some cute outfits that you just have to have.
