The question should be why do Female Tennis players have to wear skirts if they'd rather wear shorts.

Tennis players are absolutely not required to play in skirts instead of shorts. However you may have a school uniform that has a skirt. If it is a problem then talk to your coach. If it is still a problem talk with your athletic director or Principal

Well, Woman tennis players were shorts under there skirts because.....
1.)It is probably a dress code rule.
2.)Its to keep the tennis ball in place (running around with a tennis ball pressing against your skin is not comfortable).
3.)Its mostly done out of sanity.
4.)If you were at Wimbledon and you were returning the ball with a smash or returning a drop-shot the cameras might catch a glimpse of your undergarments.
5.)Its probably comfortable.
There is all my reasons.

We wear spandex so that we have a place to hold an extra ball. Yes, I know how bad that sounds. And some of the women do wear shorts rather than a skirt, its usually about personal preference and what the company that is endorsing you wants...

I believe long skirts are great, you're covered up without the restrictions of shorts.

I think short skirts, coz you show off more hip and legs, but really no matter both will go great

I don't know but it would be a lot more intresting if they wore nothing under there skirts!
