apologise for what?
being stuck up front on his own?
being barged and fouled by three portugese players which the ref ignores, then being sent off for trying to keep his balance.
its just like the eurovision song contest with political judgeing.

I'm not a rooney fan. He deserved the red card but I don't see any need for him to apologise. A lot of footballers commit fouls and don't apologise so there isn't really need to apologise!

he should apologise to England for a brief moment of stupidity by
1. Helping us win major tournaments instead of being all mouth no trousers
2. Being the first British footballer to actually achieve his potential instead of losing his way, i.e. booze, drugs, gambling etc.

No. He is a grown up & is responsible for his own actions. He took the consequences of a red card. I think it was the management at fault with such a poor strategy that merely lead him to frustration!

Cristiano Ronaldo talking in bad English speaks better than him who's native of the language!!
He's guilty and I believe it's time he keeps his big mouth shut instead of rambling around lies.
