The name Liam (much nicer than William) is lovely but then I would be biased as I'm Irish and love Irish names. Liam is cute for a baby but also masculine enough for adulthood. My friend named her son Liam but when his older brother was just learning to talk he called him Lime, the nickname has stuck within the family circle. Not really many nicknames for this name as it is a derivitive anyway. Nice choice in my opinion!

Liam is the Irish version of William.

Sure -- I like it well enough. But I'm of Irish decent.

Liam shouldn't have a nickname. For some people -- it IS a nickname. I know a William that goes by Liam.

I love that name. My fiance has a tradition in his family that all of the men are RLW initials. My first boy will be Ronen Liam (when I have him that is) It is an Irish name. It reminds me of a strong man back in the knights and princesses times. There is no nick name, its too short to have one. It doesnt need one anyway, its fine as it is.

I think its a rather nice name, very smart! It suits a little boy but also a man! I would imagine it originates from Ireland & reminds me of Liam Neeson. I don't think you need a nickname for such a short name but perhaps just 'Lee' or 'L' for short?!

Liam, it sounds like a disease.
I have Liams disease.

It also sounds like what a man would say if
he was chewing tobacco and with a full mouth
said "my name is Liam" and its sounds like a bad
pronounciation of" Lion."
