Alright the first thing you have to do is to make sure that you are nicely dressed for school..first impressions are everything. Then join clubs and activities that you have interest in, that is the first sure way of meeting people that you can relate to. If you are in high school or middle school, making friends is tough because most kids don't want to try to introduce new people into their click. But make sure if kids are talking about a their favorite activities, try and listen up and then introduce yourself to them and let them know that you are also into that activity (that is if you are).

Sit with the kids that look like they have a good grasp of the social scene, and make sure you talk don't sit there like a wall flower becuase you will be ignored. Don't try too hard to be cool, but exude confidence.

For one, you need to not worry so much about making new friends. The best ones just come naturally! Be friendly but not overwhelming and truly, just be yourself. Don't worry if they will like you, because eventually they will learn who you are and they will either be a best friend or they will walk away from the friendship. Remember, you are not the only new kid on the block. Find out who else is new and make alliances! Just have fun and you will be making friends in no time!

Join clubs. Take up a hobby like photography or play an instrument in the band. Sing in the choir. Get on the newpaper or yearbook staff. You will find people who have the same interests you have and you'll feel comfortable in a short time. Just jump in with both feet.

Are there any clubs or organizations at your new school that you are interested in? That is usually a good place to meet people with the same interests who can become new friends.

be outgoing. talk to everyone, not just a selected few! do not be shy. school kids don't like shy kids, they think they're weird or something. be funny, but if you don't have that quality, don't try cuz people will just think you're stupid.
