Well first for Charlie....The Catholic majority does NOT favor same sex marriage, abortion, etc....Where you got this I haven't a clue. As far as Bush appointing them (I take it you are inferring that he has like minded people on the bench) I believe he is a Methodist, so him appointing all Catholics is not a good argument. As far as the lack of Evangelicals, there are not that many in public officeor involved in law or politics of any sort, therefore they would not be eligible for appointment. They tend to stray towards working in fields that are more directed at helping the needy and spreading their religious beliefs that they do not seek offices that would make them a candidate for the court. I'm NOT saying this is bad....it's just what it is. Catholics tend to seek positions in government and politics in general, making them more acceptable for court appointments.
