The 'Gilligan' hat has been worn by men for decades. They were, predominately, worn by fishermen as a soft head cover. It was created to keep the burning sun off your head and out of your eyes and the brim, when flipped up in the front, will channel the rain away from your face. The original fishing cap was made out of oiled canvas, later in a rubber-coated canvas and then in untreated canvas and cotton. The cap's 'floppy', informal design makes it pliable enough to be shaped as needed and relaxed enough to be sat on, squashed, twisted, rolled up and stuck in pocket, and still be wearable - not at all like it's starched, white cousin - the Sailor Cap. Do they look good on guys? I think I look exceptionally dashing in mine!

Oh my god.. NO! The only time this kinda hat would look attractive on a man was if he was old or ugly so that it would distract attention away from his face. On second thought, maybe you should get one.
