How many stories is your building? And do you want the sums of the perimeters of each story, or just the perimeter of the outside of the building at ground level. For a 4 story building, for example, each floor would be 500 ft. on a side. The sums of the perimeters of the floors would be 8000ft., while the perimeter of the outside of the building at ground level would be 2000ft.

Well since it is a square building, each side is of length â1000000=1000 feet. So the perimeter is 4•1000=4000 feet.

Let x be one side. Then x squared = one million.
Then x = square root of one million = 1000.
Perimeter = 4 times x = 4000.
