My baby cries, giggles, lifts legs, roles over, just about everything in his sleep..yet when he poops or potties in his/her sleep it wakes em up.
Every experience they have during the day, wither it was something they enjoyed or something that bothered them, it shows up in all aspects of their little lives sleeping or awake.
I suggest you get a video camera and catch it on film so that later when they are not so little you can watch it...
They aren't much different then adults and older children, some snore, talk, walk in their sleep.

Sure they do (cry in their sleep - to the posters saying they don't). Babies and children cry in their sleep. My daughter doesn't do it so much anymore but she did it when she was a little younger. It's probably just a nightmare or something called night terrors. If it seems excessive talk to your pediatrician.

I think they are dreaming. I've heard if they smile or laugh in their sleep it means the angels are talking to them.

A bad dream, my kids did that and I just wake them up. Even adults do the same thing.

They don't cry in their sleep. If they're crying, then they're awake. They may be hungry (usually), bored, need to be changed, picked up, etc.

when my daughter did i picked her up and she laid on me. she was probally having a bad dream and wanted to be comforted. when she slept on me she became peaceful. it was the comfort of knowing that some one was there. i think they find comfort in listening to your heart beat.
