Thats a really good question especially when you can relate to it. Not trusting is not something that needs psyciatric attention. It is a learned behavior due to being hurt by those whom you either loved as a partner or a friend. Sometimes they all betray you and then the trust fades away and you become quite picky, right.......I wish I could say that help is on the way. I could certainly benefit from it as well. good luck.........

Join the club. The untrustworthy are about 100 to 1. I feel lucky to say I have 3 trustworthy friends, even though I know a lot more people. I totally appreciate my real friends, and just barely tolerate the rest. I could never be close to anyone I couldn't trust.

quit being so picky. you never know what a person is like until you get to know them. there was a girl that lived across the street from me who i thought was the snobbiest person i ever met. once i actually spoke to her and got to know her i came to realize she was just shy and quiet but one of the nicest people i ever met. everyone is different learn to accept people for who they are and you wont be lonely anymore

Not trusting is something you had BETTER pay attention to, your instincts are letting you know someone can't be trusted. Trust your instincts.
Someone once told me I could have whoever I wanted by doing one simple thing.......lowering my standards. Obviously I'm still alone. (my standards are high)

sounds like a big personal problem, try seeing a psychiatrist or try something new with a big group of people that you don't know.
