Cool question! I'd say Laurel as I always thought that Hardy was a bit bossy. But it's funny how most people have taken your question to mean something like "which was best" or "which do you prefer". You could add something totally different and random to your question, I don't know, say something like "which one would fare better on a space mission"! Now that'd fox everyone! :-)

Stan Laurel was the genius......his comedy was groundbreaking.
