It is parental responsibility to teach kids about porn. All kids need to know what is right and what is wrong from an early age.
People who sell porn etc will not put restrictions. It is up to the individual to insure that if a child has access to open Internet, to guide them against pornography.
Maybe there is a way to request servers provider to freeze anything with words 'sex', but this word is used in biology...
Education is the most NB

Define the difference between porn/art/nudity - the human body is beautiful - admittedly some are more beautiful then others.
The problem lies not with pornography but with the person that sees it - some are extremely turned on and turn to rape to relieve their tensions, some are turned on and go to their spouse/partner for the same relief.
And there are some, like me, who has never abused another person, who has become so used to porn, that it no longer has any effect.
Part of my upbringing was in a nudist club, where we saw everyone totally nude - it made me realise that even though a person was nude, it did not give me permission to assault another person - it also made me realise that nudity is natural and that if people did not wear clothes, they would have nothing to hide - people would no longer be disturbed/intrigued/be turned on by what might be under clothing.
I still look at naked women - not because it tuns me on - but because I appreciate beauty.

dont allow a computer with internet access in your childs bedroom.. the thing is you can tell them anything you want but they will be curious and have to check it out for themselves...
I suppose you can explain to them why porn in general (especially kiddie porn) is wrong.. but you have to allow some stuff.. (like soft core is ok but hard core isnt or of course kiddie porn isnt) but if you say all porn is bad and wrong then what will happen is finally they will see some soft core porn (pic of boobs for example) and realize that its not too bad so will think that you lied to them and then will think if you lied about this then the whole "porn is bad" was a lie.. so you need to say why some is bad why some is ok and allow some..

quit making porn available on the internet. Have our government crack down on porn. Make all porn sites available only if you have a credit card. Parents need to have better control on their children. I have a son and he doesn't look at porn.

How can you monitor abuse??? Get a good site blocker installed on your computer, and you will have no problems... I have installed such a program, and none of my children are able to view porn.
No names of blocking software, because I am not getting paid by anyone to advertise or promote.

Parents should take more control of how the computers are being used. There is a way to check the web pages to see what actions have been taken on their computers.
