If they do, does that mean that all creatures do, including insects and bacteria? If they don't and we do, why? Aren't we animals (mammals) as well? And if nothing has a soul, meaning souls don't exist, then is the conciousness we have the same as other animals?

Nothing has a soul. Yes, the consciousness we have is the same as other animals only further developed. Dogs have the conciousness of little babies, often not recognizing themselves in the mirror. Bacteria likely has no consciousness as we would normally define it.

Every living thing has a soul, even the smallest ones, even those that do not have the ability to move, like plants. Being alive characterize a body in which a soul is present, and when the soul leaves the body, it becomes dead.
Soul does not make humans different from animals - they have soul too... It is the special kind of consciousness that soul can develop only in human body - a consciousness about God - that makes a soul in human body different, and on the higher level than the one in animal body.. All the rest is the same (eating, sleeping, fighting, having sex)

Religious or not, humans have souls, and are NOT animals. Animals do not have souls, but are just as alive as we are. If you believe in Christianity, like I do, animals do not have souls because they go to heaven without being saved. We need to be saved because we have souls.

No, not even angels have souls. No where in the bible does it suggest that an animal has a soul. However, I believe animals will be in heaven which is biblically suggested.

hello
Sure animals also have souls, because whenever an am\imal dies its soul leaves the body that's why the body remains functionless.
This clears that animals also have souls.

Put this question under "religion." Science has little to say about this.
