Red Sox, hands down. The yankees have too many injuries this year, and the only people who like the yankees are from new York or fair weather fans. Every Red Sox game on the road sounds like a home game because their fans are everywhere. As for texas, that would be cool to see them in the playoffs too. People everywhere are just sick of the "best team money can buy" and their pitifully arrogant fans who like to pull the old "26 championships" thing out. Those don't matter anymore. This year matters! When the World Series is over, next year matters! But if you took a poll (not on here) you'd find out that the yankees don't matter anytime to REAL baseball fans! Go Sox! Go Rangers! But the greatest franchise of all time? Red Sox, hands down. Just watch any road game and you'd think they were in Fenway Park.

Probably the Yankees because they have 26 World Championships. The Red Sox have a couple, the Rangers have the record for most home-runs in a season. But the Red Sox are catching up to the Yankees and maybe one day the Red Sox will be better than the Yankees.

I am a Red Sox fan and no matter how much i want to say them, it is the Yankees. Just look at the numbers 26 world championships to 6 or 7. The Yankees had all the legends, while majority of the Red Sox legends were for making major mistakes. I hate to say it but it is the Yankees.

The Yankees have won the most, but Boston has a longer tradition.
As a Yankees fan, I'd have to go with them. Too bad the third choice wasn't the Cubs, the Pirates, the Tigers, or the Dodgers or Giants. These are also grand teams with great traditions, and all in their different ways could be considerest one of the greatest franchises.

Eww...give me a barf bag. How can anybody mention the Texas Rangers with the Red Sox and Yankees except in a general list of American League teams? Or as part of the regualr schedules for the three teams? And as much as I like the New York Rangers (hockey), they don't belong on the list either.
No offense to Red Sox fans, but alas it really is the Yankees. (I need another barf bag because of Steinbrenner.)

I am from Dallas, Texas, and I will always be loyal to my home team.
However, my boys will never be amongst the "greatest" of all time. Why? Because they have made the playoffs only 2 times in their history. That is right. 2. They've never even played in the World Series.
The Yankees have a high standard for perfection and have more championships than any other team in MLB. They are the greatest franchise of all time.

I'm curious as to why you've placed the Rangers in the same elite group as the Yankees and Red Sox.
