Yes it is true. Jack Sparrow is Johnny Depp's impersonation of Richards, apparently Depp is a big fan, so it has been arranged that Richards will play a small role as Jack's dad in a 3rd film. Sounds like fun!

Not that I know of, however I've heard that Depp acts like Keith Richards to get a crazy character down.
