But they are important, they're more imp than me! I don't give millions to charity or lobby for reformed healthcare and education, nor do I visit underdeveloped nations and make people pay attention to their plight!!

I think you misunderstand their motivation. Because they have some form of celebrity (IE: their name is known by many) they are trying to use their name and money for good. They are important because they call attention to WORLD problems. Not American problems. But world problems and poverty is one of the biggest. Many people( God's people, by the way) are starving, have no home, nothing!! To want to help is Christ like( I am using references you will understand). Why do you dislike those that help?? Because they are not helping your things. Because who cares about Africa???? You my friend, should try to be like Bono and his ilk. God might like you better.

Great events in history have typically been accomplished by individuals or small groups of people. The answer to your question is simple: Support them and "his ilk" in doing great things in the world and if you can not see that this is the bigger issue than your desire to bring people down to your level, maybe you can step up and do something for the world that will make a difference to someone other than yourself.

You can't.
So many years of fame has gone to their heads .
They then set about, spewing their inflated opinion to anybody who will listen.
