I disagree. As long as anyone in this country has to pay income taxes I think everyone should. I do not like our present tax code however. I think it would be much fairer to have either a flat tax or a very limited number of tax brackets. For instance, people that make less than $40k would pay 10%, $41k-100k would pay 20% and everyone over 100k would pay 25%. I would do away with all deductions and exemptions.

I make less than $40k a year, and would like a bigger break for not being a homeowner, but think we all have to contribute something for roads, airline security, and national parks. Why should $40k be the cutoff point? If one is a U.S. citizen, he or she should take part in the process with some federal tax.

I like the idea since I make less than 40k a year, but it just wouldn't be fair to those who work equally hard or harder than I do and earn more. Especially those that land right at the 40k mark cause after taxes, they may make less than someone at say 39k!

he's merely speaking approximately numbers. What concerns to maximum persons is what number of their earnings they pay. What concerns to wealthier persons and to the government is absolutely the quantity. So he seems on the $5k you will be able to pay in taxes and say, this is not something! It takes eighty of you to equivalent one $400k taxpayer. this is hassle-free to get indignant by ability of this line of communicate from the speaker. this is like, in case you do not think of this is something, then supply it back! on the different hand, paying taxes does make it your goverment. If in user-friendly terms people who earned better than $a million million consistent with 12 months paid any taxes in any respect, wager who'd be working the country even better than now?

I don't agree. I think everyone, regardless of income level, should pay the same percentage of income in taxes; no exemptions, no targeted tax breaks. Make the system simple, and people will be less likely to cheat it.
