We hate the people that run America, and the Americans who blindly support them.

Good for you for wanting to learn about the world.
Most Brits don't agree with many of the American governments decisions but we like the American people (apart from the stereo typed bigots who think the USA invented everything, won every war and can do no wrong - oh and believe that the stuff on Fox news is fact :p)

I am not anti- Americans as anybody must do,but I am opposed to American foreign policy, policies that subvert the will and interest of the people of the third World. Read the history of countries like Cuba, Philippines, Guam and Hawaii they suffered the same blows as Iraq and Afghanistan and don't forget Vietnam and the Latina's directly or indirectly. While your government has forgotten the convictions of the American Revolution in I776, that brought your country today,it is the same convictions that the people of the third world are inherent to achieve. I've no intention to annoy you or anybody but its from History.

i don't live in the united states, though i did as a little girl. anyway, the country i live in now is very fond of the USA in general, because the American government always helps my country, and sticks to our side when there are conflicts (and there are many). but i did say in general, my country very much appreciates all of this' but also we find some of your home issues (health care etc) and politics regarding other countries some what puzzling, and find it hard to comprehend that not everyone has health care and how is it that just like that Americans where able to invade a country so far away. most of the people i know think good things of Americans, your nice, giving, ungrudging and have morals, things that ,if you ask me, people in my country lack.

The American government. And the Americans, partly, for voting Bush in for a second term. American politicians all fit the definition for their occupation - the last refuge of the incompetent. And why on earth did you vote him in for a second term? Thank God the Constitution only allows for 2 terms.

Mainly the American government. Not exactly the brightest especially when its controlled by Bush. I think the main reason for the hate is two things. One, America always seemingly wants to go to war, yet afterwards, leaves it to other nations to clean it up. Two, America thinks they have a right to shaft other nations by ripping them off.

No, I don't hate anyone whether they're Americans or any other people. What most of the people(including me) dislike is American policies. No one can justify america attacking different countries and causing havoc in the lives of innocent people. People don't like anyone having power using it for wrong purpose.

being living in the middle east, most people hate the US government and they blame Bush for all what is going on here. when people around here meet Americans they are usually nice and very friendly, helpful too and they love to practice their English. if they lash against "America" it means that they are lashing against the Gov only and not the people.

see we don't actually hate the people but we have a problem with government and if we hate the government in other words it means we hate the people because you are responsible for putting them or they are end product of the american society.

I am canadian, and despite the Bush administration always blaming us for everything terrorist related, I have no problems with Americans.

Actually I think Americans are great people, most of them are kind, very friendly, helpfull. There are extreme views in every culture.
