My sister is always acusing me of being a s l u t or not having good enough standards for boys. she is really pretty and has been asked out a lot but has never had a boyfriend becuase her standards are so high. (I've had like, 7 bf's, and I'm three years younger.) i know it's kind of wrong for me to want her to get a bf, but then, maybe she would understand what I'm going through. i used to be able to talk to her about anything, but since I've gotten interested in boys, it's like she totally does not understand me any more. What do I do to get her off my back (and-yikes-get a bf??)????

Well I don't think ALL of the conversations you and your sister have have to revolve around the topic of boys. If it's a touchy subject or that she might be jealous, then steer clear of it and talk about other things and still build your relationship. If she's got an unrealistic standards where she'll never setting for anyone because no one is that perfect she might one day realize it. I don't think having high standards turns guys off to you though, unless they're immature and all they want is sex.

Just because you have a boyfriend doesn't mean she needs to get one. If you've been through 7 boyfriends then yeah I'd agree with her in saying your standards aren't set high enough. You say yes to whoever comes your way. It's my opinion that you want guys to pay attention to you but are going about it the wrong way and your sister has enough confidence that she doesn't need a boyfriend to make her feel good about herself. I'm rooting for your sister on this one.

I would make sure your boyfriends are genuinely interested in you before doing anything. Friends first is a good idea.

Does she have any boy friends, just friends who are boys?

Sounds like you both need more of them.

Also, there is more to life than boys. Play some sport or find something where can do stuff with boys. If you find one who likes things that you like, and who is respectful, your sister should like him. You may only need 1 more boyfriend to look after you for the rest of your life, and to keep your sister happy!

Your sister is probably half looking after you, half jealous.

She is probably jealous...to be a slu.t you would have to sleep with these guys or something of that nature...don't worry about what she says ok? And its not wrong for you to want her to get a bf, but that is her choice to make...

like you said, she needs to get her a man and stay out of your business.
