how can you tell if a friend is a real friend?

i'm friends with his girl and every time we do some thing with a group of friends she always leave me hanging. what is up with that.

Shes obviously not a real friend, a real friend would never leave u hanging like that! They are always there to care about u! I had a friend like that, so your "friend" is probabley just showing off in front of her other friends to act cool and stuff.(but isn't being cool to u) But have u talked to her yet, ask her whats up with her always leaving u out like that and that its really bugging u!

I don't know you should tell her about that because maybe she doesn't notice that she is doing it and maybe she doesn't mean to do it but you need to tell her that you feel left out when you guys hang out with a group friends otherwise she will just keep doing it without realizing you have a problem with it.

Are you sure you aren't just feeling sorry for yourself? I'm not putting you down -- don't get me wrong. People just have different personalities. My son, for instance, is very outgoing and people love to hang out with him. He went to a party with a cousin once (who is quite shy)....my son had a blast and the other sat in a tree feeling sorry for himself. It's only because he didn't get out there with everyone and have fun. When you are in a 'group' situation - it's different than being in a one on one situation. What do you mean by "left hanging" anyway?

No, friends respect each other, they don't let each other 'hanging'. I don't believe this is true friendship. If she cant make it she should be totally honest about it.

that is not a friend, there are lots of these types of people in the world. they are the ones who make like five plans on adaily basis, and then choose which one they would actually like to do, leaving the others wondering. I think you should step up to this person and say something, b/c if you don't you will just slowly start to hate her, and then you wioll get all bitter like me.
