Two of them over Indiana, in the 80's, with two Af jets and a spotter coming overhead from I275 in western Ohio trying to intercept. As the jets approached the two objects (lights) took off like meteors, leaving light trails, from standing starts. The jets were badly outclassed. What amazing technology!

Yes. I live in Romania, in the city Giurgiu. I've not once an UFO, but a couple of time, and no, I'm not crazy. The information service in my country started an investigation on this happening. Many star like object's happen to cross the sky over Giurgiu, and no smart asses they were not planes or choppers! They looked like distant stars but while moving you could tell they where closer to the Earth, like in the atmosphere. They seemed to be spherical metallic objects; once 2 of these objects appeared at the same time. But had different direction. The investigation is now on a roll, since an UFO had crashed in the Carpathian Mountains.
This is for real! The eye witnersses said it was like a bomb going off on the mountain. The SRI never told us what they found up the mountain. There could be the possibility that beeing a state border city, those objects could have been some new kind of aircraft, on maneuvers, from the Russians, but that's just me saying that.

Many people have seen unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

A UFO is not necessarily an alien space craft. It simply means something that, at the time, is not readily identifiable.

During subsequent investigations, they turn out to be things like: weather balloons (round, shiny, floating objects), swamp gas (mathane released from bogs), ball lightening maybe, and that sort of thing.

Some purported "UFO sightings" that are accompanied by photographic "evidence" turn out to be nothing more than hoaxes.

Basically, there is a lot of stuff floating or flying around in the air. Some of it is really odd. As yet, there is no evidence that it floated here from another world.

In fact, quite the opposite. Take a look at the links I have provided. I think you will see what I mean.

The more skeptical and clear-headed people are about UFOs, the more difficult it will be for people to commit petty or serious crimes - and blame them on the existence of UFOs.

Neither aliens from outer space nor unidentified flying objects are responsible for human mischief or weird lights in the sky. They both have far simpler explanations.

Many people have seen things THEY had no explanation for at the time, but that does not make them "UFO"s in the "little green men with spatulas" sense!

Yes. Many times a day.

But once I figured out what they were, then they were no longer classified as a UFO.

Yes, several times and the first time I saw one everyone in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area called into our local radio station and 911 reported it. The media lied and said that it was just a weather balloon. RIGHT!

No, but if someone did, that doesn't mean that it was an alien spaceship or anything like that. If you can't indentify an object flying around in the sky at first, it's technically a U.F.O. just going by what those letters actually stand for.

No, but my dad swears he has. He was at a baptism in a pond when he was little. He said something dropped down from the sky and hovered around and went straight back up. He still gets goose bumps when talking about it and he's in his 60's. I've always looked for them, but never have seen one.

Yes, it was white, perfectly round, bigger than a medicine ball and it FLEW!!
What (in a shape of a ball with no wings) can FLY and manoeuvre in sharp, curved paths at breakneck speed. Nothing we can make, that's for sure.

Yes, I have, but again, since it was "Unidentified" I have no idea what I acutally saw. Wish I could see one closer up though.
