Lemmy was part of a psychedelia band called 'Hawkwind' and one of their songs was called 'Moterhead'. Lemmy left the band and went on to become 'Motorhead'. Motorhead was a slang term for someone who is a taker of 'Amphetamines'

OK.. Motor as in ..CAR ...vroomm vroomm and HEAD ,as in Head banger ,.... Put it all together and you get a Real Crap Band.!
Easy when you think about it .
