do you have a vortec? the fuel pressure regulator is inside the manifold on those and you wont see aleak. do you have fuel pressure? if you spray starting fluid in it and try to start ii, it should at least try to run ( you say you have spaark) if so then you have a fuel problem. I'v been a mechanic for 8 years and have never seen a "clogged fuel line" you may have a bad pump or a bad regulator. listen for teh fuel pump to fun when you turn on the key. do not try to start it. youshould hear a faint whine coming from the fuel tank. either get under it and put your ear up to the tank or put a funnel in the fill neck and listen. if the pump is running then check for fuel pressure

RE:
Help! My 94 chevy blazer will turn over but will not start!?
For the past few weeks it smelled like gas when idleing. My husband parked it 3 days ago and when he went back out it would not start. It turns over fine (we replaced the starter last week), and we have spark, but nothing. We have replaced the fuel filter and the distributor cap. Any ideas what...

I didn't notice anyone's mention of this, but have you checked to be sure your Fuel Pump is working? When you turn the ignition on (part way, just before the position to start it) you should be able to hear a humming/vibrating type sound for a few seconds. If you can't hear this from inside the vehicle, have someone kneel beside the rear of the vehicle to listen for you.
If you don't hear this sound, your pump's not working and your vehicle will not start, no matter how long it rolls over or how much spark it has.

I've got an 88 S-10 and went rounds with it last winter. Turned out to be my Oil Pressure Sending Unit.
It's got to have enough pressure for the motor to start. Mine was cracked, oil leaking out slowly, not noticable, but was still allowing me to start on occasion. For years I've had problems with the oil pressure guage, just ignored it.
Replaced the sending unit, problem solved.
Also check to make sure ALL wires are ok, and not damaged by wear. If the wires are more than two years old, get new ones. Once you do figure out the problem the new wires also help with better fuel economy.

it could very well be that gas isnt getting to your motor. I have the same problem right now with my 97 chevy silverado. It could be your fuel pump, see if you hear it going when you turn over. Try putitng some gas into your throttle and see if it starts a little. it could also be clogged fuel line, or dirt in your injectors.

The injectors are not getting a fuel supply. The smell of gas could be from a leak around the fuel rail. If it is leaking then there is not enough pressure to work the injectors. Check the pressure in the fuel rail. There is a valve on the end for hooking up the pressure gage.

IT might be your catalytic converter. If you noticed your gas mileage going down i would recommend you having that checked.
GOOD LUCK
Chad
ps try using a hammer and hit the cat. converter a few times with some force but not to excessive that you will punch a hole in it.ITS located under the passenger side of the vehicle on the exhaust pipe.

Does your fuel pressure regulator smell like gas when you take off vacuum line? Is there gas in your vacuum line? If so its bad. Did you run it low on gas? Your pump might have been over worked and also killed your regulator in the process.
