I just went and answered your other question. I do have a bit more to say... No, I DON'T think you should have to let it go...If you don't like someone, you don't like someone. It doesn't matter in WHAT way they are related -or not- to you.A lot of people told me I should keep trying to be closer to my father, long story short, I found it simpler, less painful and better for everyone to cut him out of my life entirely. Now that you're grown you don't HAVE to put up with ANYone you don't want in your life, it is after all, YOUR life.

I missed your question yesterday, but have just read it. I am afraid that I have to agree with a lot of what was said in the answers. Perhaps you should not have asked the question if you were not prepared for some harsh criticism. This is coming from someone who did not speak to his elder brother for 22 years over something he said about our mother. So you see, I fully understand your point of view but from my experience I can tell you that it is totally wrong to hold grudges, for whatever reason, against a member of your family. Give up you day off work and go to the shower. Even if you are being a hypocrite and boiling inside, just do it and get it over with. I am now very close to my brother and I am a better person for having made it up with him.....................

They must think that if the shoe fits, you must wear it! Some people are so narrow minded in their thinking, this is suppose to be fun! Then again they must just want the 2 points & don't give too much thought to their answers. Try choosing a different category, as when I ask a question, I get a variety of answers that don't even pertain to what I have asked. I know what you mean!

Honestly, negativity breeds negativity.
For example; I use to be very nice to people. Then I had someone respond to a question I posted about my miscarriage and what I could expect. The girl was a total prick to me. (I was so upset over her response that I couldn't sleep - It was hard enough having the miscarriage, then having someone be an *** to me was just over the top). I haven't been as nice to people since.
It's like if I'm going to be treated like crap, then why bother being nice to people? It's a horrible thing to say.
I can only tell you what has happened to me from personal experience. =(
The same thing is probably going to happen to you now.
I have to say I think there are too many little kids online posting harsh remarks. They seem to have bad manners...

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX YOu have to realize that there are people of ALL ages using this service. Age has a lot to do with how they answer the question. Most ADULTS are here to help and give good advice and mind you there are teens who give great advice too but some tend to use this service as a joke and answer questions not with their hearts but with there lack of wisdom. Please don't stop asking questions because of this. Just go with the best answers and ignore ignorance. When someone ask a silly question I too sometimes give a silly answer just to get down to their level which isn't the best thing to do but I'm human too and some questions anger me. Good luck hun. This is a great place to get help. Don't let the bad apples stop you. A lot of us really care. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It's just the way our society has become. People would much rather bash someone else than to work on their own issues. Also, I think some like to believe that they're getting under your skin. It's kind of a power trip mentality.

Some people who answer questions on here only care about writing what they think is a funny answer.

Because of human nature people seem to think they are better than most and think they are qualified to give advice.
