Did you always know it was your cousin, or did you find out after the relationship started? Did you break up because of it? Did you marry? Do you think it's acceptable as long as you don't have kids together?

No. Of course, all my male cousins are kind of fat and ugly! But seriously, I don't think it's harmful provided it's a second cousin or higher--the genetic risk to any offspring from such a union is comparable to, say, having children late in life.

Well, one of my cousins married another cousin and they had a child. However, it was not on purpose. They found out after the fact that they were in some way related and if it wasn't for their child they would have gotten a divorce. They only had one child though and thank God the little girl was healthy.

ok. i'm by using no skill an authority, yet i imagine i visit wager a number of the justifications some APs are weary of an open adoption and that is truly unhappy that they might imagine this: they're mad that the start mom receives the finest of both worlds - the start mom receives the courting and love without the duty of elevating the youngster, feeding the youngster, outfits the youngster, etc. they could bypass out on a Saturday evening and not in any respect might want to hit upon a babysitter, they could come out and in of the youngster's existence on each and every occasion they need, etc. yet, like I stated, those are unhappy excuses. i imagine all judgements should be about the youngster's best interest and making positive each and each and every of the youngster's desires, both materially AND emotionally are lined and a courting with their start father and mom enables to acheive that. We would sometime choose adoption to start up our relations and if we do, we are going to easily purely want an open adoption. the youngster will sometime seem at how we acted and how we chosen to do each and every thing in our youngster's best interest which blanketed sharing them with their start father and mom and that kid will do not ignore that their APs extremely loved them and had to ascertain them for each and each and every of the right motives. that's about doing what's best for the youngster. If we undertake, i would like our baby to be loved by using as many people as achievable and to carry close they were loved by using both their first and second households. that is what that's going to be all about - about giving that kid the finest existence achievable.

Actually, it is legal to marry your first cousin in all fifty states. I had a one night stand with a cousin of mine, although I didn't know she was my cousin at the time. I didn't see her anymore after that, cause she moved away.

First and second cousins are allowed to marry, you only need to look at royalty and the very wealthy. It is a way to keep power and to keep the wealth in the family.
Cleopatra married her brother and Caligula had sex with various members of his family. It's part of life. Live with it.

NO! eweeeee! That is gross. However, I did know a girl whose last name did not change when she got married. She met her husband at a family reunion. He was a 4th cousing twice removed (or something like that--so it was legal). And, yes, they were from Alabama.
