I see all our yahoo lawyers are up early. You can file a lawsuit against the estate of the person who has died. You can sue just about anyone, dead or alive. The fact that Ken Lay was not sentenced has nothing to do with the civil aspect of his case. It only presents a problem for the government in its case to try and seize his property.

No, you can not file a lawsuit against a dead person, only against his estate (that the sum of his belongings), but I am certain there is a statute of limitations in effect.

Most states have procedures to allow you to sue the estate of someone who has passed away. If you do a Google search of recent new stories for Marlon Brando, you'll still that a couple of people have filed claims against his estate. One woman is suing for sexual harassment and another for breach of contract.

You should consult a local attorney for the exact rules and procedures because the laws will vary by state.

Depends where that 'excessive sexiness' occurred. You'd be surprised how people take thing seriously these days. What may be considered somewhat 'relaxed' to some people will be 'slutty'. I always tell people "Get a life!"

what would be the reason for it? If they are dead, then you aren't getting anything. The person isn't there to defend theirself. I'd say no, but I'm sure some wack job attorney could find a way to do it.
