i bought a capo (a cheap dunlop capo) and i try to use it with my guitar.normally, if i tuned the guitar with a standard tuning and i put the capo on the first fret,then the tuning will be : D-a-D-F#-B-E, right? but i just couldn't get the sound.i try to play "heartbeats" by Jose Gonzalez but i couldn't with a capo.is my methode is wrong?
someone could help me with this??

thats how i do it-im not familiar with the song, but he may have his guitar tuned differently to begin with.

if you put the capo on the first fret the strings will be
F-A#-D#- G#-C-F, from low to high, in stadard tuning
