Companies that offer to "consolidate" your debts into one easy payment per month will probably want some collateral (like your house) to protect them if you can't even pay their amounts. If your current debt it with a credit card company, at least your own home if you have title ti it is secure.

You will probably be paying the one easy amount per month for the rest of your life and have very little to eat, or spend on anything.

You should probably sell anything you don't need, and maybe think creatively. Are you or your partner attractive?

Contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau - they will be able to advise you. They should also be able to check to ensure you are getting all the benefits you are entitled to.
Also most local councils have a department to help people having debt problems (I can't think what they are called though) maybe someone out there can help.
Whatever you do, don't be tempted to consolidate your debts with another loan.
Good luck.

The very first thing to do is to go to your local Citizen's Advice Bureau. Their address, and telephone number is in the phone book; or online. You can make an appointment with them. Or they have certain hours they are open for people to just drop in.
They will put you in the right direction, help set up appointments, phone people for you, and keep it private and confidential. They are very helpful and understanding.

you could petition for bankruptcy if you are unable to pay debts any longer. I did this this some months ago, and it was the best thing I ever did

I agree. Bankruptcy is a real option you will have to consider.

Before that, though,I would have a word with your local
Citizens Advice, to see what they can do for you !!

Hope this helps. All the best with it !!
