It is impossible to measure belief or to quantify when or how it becomes "enough."

The easiest answer would be, "Yes, but only when you believe enough."

This train of thought would drive you mad, as the blame would be on your concentration, not on the actual feasibility of disappearing.

Religion is notorious for saying that if you believe, than no harm can come to you, which of course leads to tragedy and the same people saying that you, "...didn't believe ENOUGH."

I think that if you trained your mind to the point that you were convinced of your invisibility, then that would be more than enough. Some people say that certain monks (a loose term) achieve invisibility by causing themselves to be completely unrecognizable or memorable, like causing complete amnesia in all those around you so that they don't notice or remember you were ever there, which would be identical to invisibility...

To be is to be observed.

Well,

It has been said, that with faith as small as a mustard seed, that mountains can be moved. I think that if you spend enough time exploring the vast landscape of your mind, and develop the needed faith and concentration, you will find that there are bigger fish to fry. In other words, you will discover new worlds and values that make the parlor trick of invisibility too quaint to bother with.

I do not know. There is no precedent for this type of activity.

For guidelines (or practice), research the meditation performed by monks (Zen Buddhists in particular) -- look into things like walking on water, or paper. While these things are more possible than disappearing entirely, they are still impossible without a great amount of discipline.

Failing that, learn Ninjitsu instead and just pretend to disappear :)

Yes you can. The question is, will anyone be able to believe with enough faith that one will turn invisible?

No, true faith can only be had in correct principles. For example, you can think God is not real, but that wouldn't change God. You must know true attributes of the object of your faith.
I know that food will cure my hunger because I have tested it before. Other wise I would never cook anything because I wouldn't believe that what I was cooking would cure my hunger.

You need to go to a mountaintop first where the air is really thin... then you'll be all set to go! Happy vanishings.

Of course! You are now invisible. I can't see you.

However, Homeland Insecurity can see you, so beware.

No. Belief/faith does not affect reality, just your perception of reality.
