I have seen a few questions in other languages - I don't know whether or not Yahoo deleted them.
I know that there are flags from other countries on the bottom of some pages, so I assume that people can write in foreign languages on those.

No. While the internet is an international media, it was developed by and for the use of AMERICANS.
Yahoo is a US company, and the majority of users are Americans.
By using English as the official language it avoids having translation issues or other problems, and it helps big brother search for "terrorism" posts.

No. It makes more sense that way.
If you don't understand English go to the Yahoo answers for your language. I don't want to sort through a bunch of gibberish to find a readable question.

No I do not.
Lock at the bottom of this home page and you will see other languages, click on them and you will find out that it is in the language that it indicates. Chinese, Japaneses, Thai, German, Spanish, French, etc.
Maybe you want to go there in have them complain because you are posting in English.

If it's an English-speaking country, yes.
I don't think Yahoo would place restrictions like that in another country which doesn't use English as it's official language.

I'm not crazy about it either, but I can understand a reason for it.
Yahoo is probably trying to make the job easier for the editors who review abuse cases. Allowing non-English questions would make it easier for people to ignore the content rules.
