I honestly don't know. While I would like to believe that you can fly, or that you are of sound mind and have accepted your inevitable demise, I would also have to accept the reality that you are quite possibly mentally ill, and prevent you from harming yourself due to a temporary lapse in judgement.

I always knew that becoming a responsible adult would be no fun.

Of course not. If you could truly fly you wouldn't need to announce it, and it wouldn't be nearly as shocking as you simply taking flight. You shouldn't need my approval or audience.

Anyone who needs to publicize their actions is normally looking for some kind of approval or expected reaction, like shock or pity.

For instance, most people who commit suicide don't talk about it immediately beforehand, they just do it. On the other hand, people who want to be talked down off the roof (or cliff) make a big show of it.

Lao Tzu said, "He who speaks does not know and he who knows does not speak. So no, I would not watch you jump off a cliff, I would try to stop you and then never speak to you again because I don't like martyrs or showoffs

I'd ask you to try jumping off of a curb or out of a tree first.
If you refuse, I'd duct tape you up and drop you at the nearest funny farm.

No. I'd tell you that sure I believe you, so why not just leap straight into the air and fly?
