When I was a volunteer for the red cross I would visit the elderly in nursing homes. I used to take along the cards and play solitaire the old fashion way. I was taught by the old folk how to play eucka, I think thats how it's spelt. It was great to be able to get them interested in something, even if it was only a card game. They thought it was great to be able to teach me something, not that I got the drift of it.

I play solitaire with real cards, and i write letters when i have something important and meanigful to say to friends who live far away and i prefer plain old paper books to e-books and think it is stupid to try to find g/f or b;f online. Not everything has to go through computers because this ay we lose the sense of things, of peopla around us and real communication.

My mother and I play double-sol together with real cards. I sometimes play regular solitaire with real cards, but I'm horrible at it, so it's never too often.
