i would have to go with dead alive (peter jackson), zombi (lucio fulci) and day of the dead (george romero). i can't choose just one because they're all so gory. dead alive was just... the kind of movie where you can't eat while watching it. i love horror films and that movie just took my breath away, i was speechless most of the time... lucio fulci's zombi and george romero's day of the dead had plots to go along with it (george is a genius, he's my favorite).

you are lucky not to have viewed these films. hostel's just mild compared to these movies. but if i have to choose outside the horror genre, it would have to be battle royale, a japanese film about students that try to kill each other until only one is left alive. it's cool actually (that japanese girl from kill bill one is also seen in this movie). :)

Hostel is half of Land of the Dead when it comes to brutality. So I say Land of the Dead. Here, you can see people getting their brains eaten, their intestines chewed, their throats sucked, heads torn apart, skins being ripped like paper and ripped arms gulped down like they were hotdogs. Need i say more?

What comes next is Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2. The movie has Quentin Tarantino written all over it so you know what to expect.

Then comes Hostel. Again, its a Quentin flick. So yeah.
