Fiats of this age DO NOT have points you have an engine management system.Do you have any warning lights on?If so you will need a code reader to take you in the right direction of fault. You have a crank sensor which gives problems on this model Best of luck remember Fiat was Italy's revenge for losing the war.Hello again after reading your note saying no spark its probably the crank sensor.

follow the HT leads from the spark plugs in the engine block, and the distributor will be at the other end of them. However, if you cant even find it, I doubt u are qualified enough to do anything with it when u HAVE located it!!!!

Righto sexy pants now listen! lol take off the plug leads , remove a spark plug......totter off to halfords and buy four new ones the same. replace the spark plugs with the new shiny ones, before you refit the HT leads spray some WD40 up into the caps and on the spark plugs. refit the leads. if it still does it then change the fuel filter.......now go and get your knickers on and make me a cup of tea! shabba!

If you can't find the distributor than you must have a Crank Shaft Sensor..

If it has electronic engine management then there won't be a distributor cap.
