What happens when you arrest a drug lord? Someone takes his/her place. What happens when you get rid of Al Quada? Some one else will just fill the void. It is a circle. You have to break the cycle. Just like a bad habit. Take out one of the elements. I don't think this is a cycle that can be broken though. I would suggest that the best offense is defense. Educate the people what to look for. Police officers are not even trained to know what they should. There are many things we can do. But letting little George listen in on my phone conversations isn't something I believe in. It is a direct violation of privacy. Anyway, little George will get what h has coming to him in the end. I guess we all will. What will happen? Someone will just replace them. This way, presidents who enjoy war games will have something to do besides actually solve problems.

Would love to say the worst would be over, but Al Quada is never going to be gone. More 'terrorists' are created everyday. They do not come from just one country. When Our President used false pretenses to invade Iraq and stooped to grand standing (Mission Accomplished, for one) rather than diplomacy he and our Country lost face and created a world wide aversion to our tactics.
As long as Israel is allowed to breach every agreement made with Palestine, and we support Israeli without exception, there will be new recruits for the likes of Al Quada. We have bombed a country to rubble, killed thousands, ours and theirs, and can't find one little man hiding in a cave.
Even if Al Quada were gone and pigs flew, the neocons and politicians would keep our country divided with diversionary tactics. Gay marriage, immigration, church and State while they find another way to line the pockets of the huge conglomerates that are controlling our economy. The war has enriched them, the lives lost of no value.

The world will reap what it sows. If violence is used to remove Al-Queda, then newer groups will spring up in it's place, more violent and with more numbers. We need to "attack" the reasons for groups like this, and reduce the numbers and motivation of it's members. Iraq is the perfect example. Saddam would never allow a terrorist organisation into his dictatorship. That point was proven. Saddam was neither an immediate threat, since he did not have WMD, nor was he supporting Bin Ladin. Yet, after his removal, all of a sudden Syria and other real terrorist countries were able to infiltrate Iraq and get members in a country that they were not able to have access to. Remember, the world has more terrorists than just Al-Queda. The FBI building in the US was not bombed by Al-Queda, but by their own home grown terrorist group.

what says the world will get rid of al quada? thats the question to ask, its a following not for a jihad, but for those of us who enjoy freedom, it truly has little to do with a holy war, its a group that hates free people and the world is full of hate,

It's not going away. The ideology will live on way after we kill UBL.
"The Base" has become a way of life for Islamic extremists to vent their twisted religious views and acts of terror & murder.
Islam has been highjacked by UBL and other Islamic extremists, who force other Musluems , to act on selective interperatations of the Koran.
