We're here on Yahoo and some of these people ask questions that they would get the answer to more quickly and accurately if they would just do an internet search. Does that make any sense to anyone at all...besides them?

They're either lazy, or prefer asking to answering, to see what kind of answers they get!

For me, I prefer to answer, and those at higher levels, also like me, rarely ask anything! Take a look at the leader board and you'll understand what I'm talking about....

And to be honest....those who do NOT research....give ME the ability to do exactly that. That's the part of Yahoo! Answers I love! :)

OH, and PS...I agree with betterlife_travel....your nick is awesome! :)

Many times I think the people asking the questions are not looking for the answer so much as they are looking to see what everybody else thinks the answer to be. It's all about the reponse. It's more like looking for different personalities than answers.

Absolutely none, whatsoever. However, I sometimes do a search on the subject of a question, just to improve my knowledge so I forgive a lot of the young people to whom their question is the most important thing that has yet happened in their short lives....

perhaps they aren't as savvy on the computer as some people, there are some questions people have asked that took me awhile to search. i even had to get a book or two it was that bad of a question. but to ask how my day is or where i live is silly and an easy two points. but your right some questions with wikipedia you can answer almost half of them.

Too lazy.

Nine times out of ten, a quick Google search retrieves the answer.

Yeah, these people probably just want to see who pays attention to their question and are lazy. Now, I'm talking about easy, common questions. There are more difficult ones that require PERSONAL opinions or that require research.

I think it is because they are to stupid or to lazy to do the search for themselves!
