I think he's a good thing to do; helping people and all. If you don't have any other information to back up your opinion then I don't see your point.
People are way below poverty level, even in the United States. These people are dieing from diseases but they don't have the money to pay for them. They are ill when they die. At least we may go to a hospital and they can hopefully treat whatever you have. They have no hope of health. If everyone in the world piched in one dollar, then we'd had about 8 billion dollars to split between poor people. If people piched in even more, there'd be enough money to go around.
People are starving to death. In African countries, children die in the streets from starvation. No home, no parents, nothing. A child dies every three seconds there. Every five seconds an adult dies. How many of those people do you think weren't fed properly? How many of them do you think thought it was their fault that they are where they are? In Social Studies, when I was in Fifth Grade, my teacher made us look at the clock and watch all the people die. That hurt me so much that every year I give money to shelters, toys to kids, and clothes to everyone just to see if maybe it will skip three seconds, or five.
And if you think that just because hurricanes tragically tore the gulf apart last year that other people will take care of it, you are wrong. If every person looked on the faces of the people who lost their homes, or people that they loved, you'd need to help. Though they do stress Katrina and New Orleans a little to much, each had the most destruction. I sent over 100 dollars just to that one hurricane, and I'm not rich. I'm just doing my part to help others.
So exucse me but when a celebrity or two decide to help out in one of the many tragic areas that there are in the world, I support them. If I had the amount of money celebrities did, I'd be broke in a second because I'd give it all away. All they have to do is make a commercial and 10 million dollars is theirs. People on the streets have to beg so that they can get a shower or bread. Please rethink your view, or get something to back it up.
And I know that isn't the real Bono that posted the question, but don't you think the real Bono is trying to help. I mean, U2 has been around for a hundred years and will be for another hundred. So "Bono's" question is maybe just trying to help.

If anyone believes that the real Bono asked that question, I have a very nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell them, cheap!
And if they don't want to buy that, I have shares in a perpetual motion machine too!
Face it, who ever posted that question is as much Bono as I am. This is publicity for an aging rocker who's popluarity is dropping faster than a paralyzed falcon.
It's pathetic.
