Why is the White race the only race not allowed to be proud of itself?

yeah....who wants to be proud of the race that has behaved the way the Whites have? America is such a farce. Set up by rich white males and structured around them so as to keep them at top. So whether you are of a different race, female, or just not wealthy, I couldn't possibly see how you would be proud of the white race. Maybe if you were a republican getting rich off of war and gas prices, you could be proud.

oh yeah....was the name of that one book.....

Why should any "race" be proud of itself? Isn't that how racism begins? Pride leads to a feeling of superiority, thus the bigotry begins. And what exactly about being a particular race is so good as to make one proud? Shouldnt the feeling of pride come from accomplishment, not being born a certain color?

I don't get this racial pride thing. Racial pride is nothing more than racism too me. BTW, chinese are more bigoted than white people will ever be. To them being 100% chinese is the cats meow, and everyone else in the world is a foriegner.

The white race may be at the top of the list, but being there means greater responsibilty to those that aren't white. Kind of like a good leader, you cannot celebrate yourself because you will alienate everyone around you. So you must celebrate those that are not as "fortunate" per se as you. I am white. I consider myself lucky in many different ways. People can hate me because I am white but why? I did nothing to cause that except being born. I cannot be angry with someone of another race because of their race. I can embrace them and love them for who they are.

why would a white person be proud of what whites have done all over the world??? I wouldn't be if I were white!! Sorry to be brutal but all you have to do is look at a history book to understand why white pride is seen as racist. If you can't see that then clearly society has not changed very much.

Our race has been so proud that we have repressed other races and native peoples for hundreds if not thousands of years.

I don't think us Crackers have any problems with expressing pride. What we do need to do, is fully understand what our lineage has done to everyone else.

Minority groups always tend to self-segregate and foster a sense of pride; it's a defense mechanism against possible tyranny by the majority. Since we whiteys are currently the majority in North America and Europe, the issue is not so much that we are not "allowed" to be proud of our ancestry as that we don't know where to start! This phenomenon distresses me, too, since pride in our ancestry (WHATEVER ancestry that may be, white or otherwise, in all possible combinations!) gives us pride in ourselves.

If you have Mayflower ancestors, they may be a good starting point. Best of luck and honor to your forebears!

Slavery gave you a bad rap....and now all major economic powers are mainly white, which makes everyone else feel inferior and wanting to blame you for all the worls ills.
