this property does not look like it is for sale but looks like it had not been lived in for a while. i don't live in the area so i am not able to run by the county office to check it out. is there an internet site that i can check on?

check online for the register of deeds office for the county the property is in. you should be able to look up the info there. or you check also the property tax records - also in the county

Not that I know of, but usually the county offices have a site or a phone number to contact.
