Seriously, I am contemplating this, what in your opinion is a more exciting career graphic design (paper, ink, printing) or industrial design (anything that's manufactured and sold to people +more)

Ooh, well they can both be very exciting, but only if you are given enough creative free rein and/or have a good client to work with. A lot of the time graphic design is not the flashy stuff that wows you but the bread and butter of junk mail catalogues, etc. that aren't pretty but they bring in the bills. I don't know about industrial design, but I'm sure it can be like that too.

I imagine it's just as exciting to make your own product with industrial design, but the process is probably more complex than graphic design because you're dealing with three dimensions and more complex issues of functionality vs aesthetics, but the process of making prototypes is far more time-consuming and laboursome. Yet it is very satisfying to see your creation in your hands and being used.

It all depends on what excites you more, and especially in the face of the more common and boring design that comes with the job. Personally the more WOW factor there is in the creative thing you're making, the more effort and time (and frustration) that is involved, but also the more exciting it is. And I think then that industrial design has more WOW in it for that reason.

in case you're arty, bypass for layout. in case you're very strong at maths, bypass for engineering. Engineering is larger paid yet you at the instantaneous are not getting the feel strong aspect of layout. in case you want homes, upkeep....... properly, the answer is there for you isn't it? strong success on your determination BTY; extremely of english have you ever seen company study?
