pedals are manipulated by a hand control lever leaving one hand to steer and one hand to work brake and throttle these adapter kits will fit almost any car or truck equipped with automatic transmission . a very few manual trans cars have been adapted with very limited success as the mechanism's become too cumbersome to adequately be manipulated. but with the computer advances automatics are no longer the slush-boxes they once were, rendering a manual trans really pointless in this particular case.

They have specially designed vehicles.I have worked on a few vehicles driven by handicapped people.A lever was mounted just below the steering column that incorporated the functions of both the accelerator and brake pedals. It worked very well and was out of the way so that it could also be driven easily without using these features.A very nice feature for allowing a handicapped person the freedom to get out and drive on their own.

Dont think a quadrapalegic (sp?) can drive, but parapalegics (sp?) can drive. They have hand controls for the gas and brake pedals.
