Maybe she liked it because it made her feel sexy...and there you are pissing all over that for her. That wasn't a very loving thing to do. Why are you worried that she looks trampy, anyway? I mean is she pairing giant plastic earrings, daisy duke shorts, and a tube top with the ankle braclet? If not, I'd say you should apologize.

Then, if you really love her, you should WANT HER to feel sexy. Her feeling sexy doesn't take anything at all AWAY from you, you know. Her feeling sexy only makes her a happier person, and that happiness extends to the people that love her! And loving a person does NOT mean parenting them by telling them that something looks "wrong" or as you put it, "trampy."

What you did when you said that was tell her that 1.) She isn't entitled to feeling sexy because she is YOUR property. 2.) She isn't capable of making choices about her own body, such as what jewelry to wear (which is a really simple choice) so she isn't really an adult. 3.) She isn't ALLOWED to be sexually attractive because she is YOUR property. I could go on...but it's all bad.

Maybe you just felt threatened seeing her do something symbolic, like wearing a sexually symbolic piece of jewelery? Maybe you should check those feelings of yours out before you dump them all over your poor wife.

You know, if she IS attempting to draw YOUR attention by dressing more provocatively, the easy fix for you is to PAY MORE ATTENTION. That way you can see other men notice her, but they see that she isn't single because you're around. By noticing her, she gets the attention she wants from the man that she wants it from, and finally, you see that she was doing this for both herself and YOU anyway....so it's a win-win for both of you.

Finally, the next time you go to correct someone else's choices about how they conduct themselves in the world, you might want to stop and think: "How would *I* feel if this person were checking ME?" I bet you either say "Oh, I never do questionable things" Which isn't true, OR, you realize that being the world's parent isn't really your job.

There are a lot of accessories and items of apparel that DO make a woman look trampy, but I hardly think a little bracelet on the ankle is one of them. If she has nice looking legs, the bracelet draws the eyes to them, just like a cute hat draws the eyes to the head, cute sunglasses draw the eyes to the face, a cute pair of shorts draws eyes to the...well you get the idea. Short of wearing a burka, let's face it, that's an effect of most attractive clothing and accessories.

If you don't like her wearing cute...but not revealing...clothes in general, maybe you have some control issues YOU need to be dealing with. Lighten up.

{First mistake }...Why is she having to buy gifts for herself. That cuts you from an opinion on the matter, all you have done is hurt your wife's feels. After, your not on the couch for a while lol... You might want to go out and buy her something that you think accents her beauty Earrings etc. And Tell her How very much you love her. Don't let the little things hurt your relationship...like money, jewelry. Always keeping the unity of your marriage in mind. What a beautiful gift you both share ...Something to be very proud of in these times with divorce on the rise.Best wishes to you both..... Thanks <:3 }~

i think an ankle bracelet looks great when wearing a skirt, dress or cropped pants.that was just rude telling your wife that it looked trampy. You need to apologise.how would you like it if she called some of your personal items horrible.your wife deserves a present from you for what you said too her.

I think you are insensative and a cad. Do you really think your wife would have bought something to wear that she didnt find appealing. How insensative are you to her feelings to tell her something like that. Shame on you. Grow up and see that your wife is trying to look nice and what you said was hurtful.

I think that personally you may be suffering from a very serious sydrome call ankletcetory braceltory. You may need to see a counsellor for this one because you may start getting further symptoms like ithinkallwomenarewhores or something like that. this will earn you no points from your girlfriend & she needs complimenting not that!
