why do you think of the theme for the 2010 soccer world cup in South Africa?Will you be there?

Although I support the idea of expand soccer to all countries and support it development there, I think that was another FIFA political decision to gain votes from these countries.

One important thing during the games in World Cup is the presence of fans from all the world and supporters of their national teams, and this was something that we could not see too much in Asia 4 years ago (distance, culture, prices).

All that I hope is to have a nice spectacle, a nice show of good soccer and no other bad World Cup like Korea-Japan was.

As a soccer fan, I hope to be there... but who knows what is going to happen in 4 years.

They do have the digital infrastructure to beam the games "live" don't they? Well they've got less than 4 years to put it in place amongst other things - looks like armies of european expats will descend into South Africa to get the nation ready - the locals can only provide the muscle i think....

Africa is calling.... all European experts with relevant qualifications to help put together all infrastructure nescessary to host a successful World Cup.

I don't know why they are planning to do it in Africa... Unfortunately, I won't be there, maybe in 2014 or 2018.

well im happy dey r doin it in africa im gonna be here in africa!!!! but ther r rumors dat dey r takin it away 4rm africa :( dunno y :( by da way fish ball we do hav technology in south africa and evry wer else in africa!!! we no longer longer liv in da wild cause of da portuguese and dutch travelers learn ur history!!! we r as sofisticated as most other countries!!! we dont need europeans 2 come help us!!! even though dey do a beta job !!!!! btw im 4rm S.A but my roots r in portugal!!! basically im half portuguese and half south african!!
