Yes, perhaps not as hot as the 1st half.
Even if they play .500 ball the rest of the season the would win 96 games...however, I think they win 100 and Chicago wins 99.
I think all those piedpipers out there are just plain jealous.

I think the Tigers are unstoppable. Unlike everyone else, I think the White Sox will go south before the Tigers will. The Tigers just want it something fierce, and they came together as a team. I would reverse your statement, I don't know how the White Sox could win the division with how good the Tigers are.
But like I said, I am the only person I've seen who seems to think so, AND I thought the Mets would trash Boston in Interleague, so what do I know? There are a lot of rabid Tigers fans who keep saying the Tigers will get the Wild Card, but I sincerely think they'll get the division.

Hot - yes. Red hot as they were in the first half - not a chance. Extrapolating the numbers leads to the conclusion that the Tigers will win approximately 118 games or so, which is a .728 winning percentage, which is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of. The Tigers' paws will come back to Earth a bit in the second half in the warmer months, but they will still compete for the division title and/or wild card.
(And that said, the White Sox will also not continue on at playing .650 to .700 ball either. Both teams will come back, but who will fall farther. Based on pitching staffs, I would say that the Tigers have the edge - Chicago's starters just aren't where they were at last year. But they didn't get hot until the right time last year (late August 'til the end), so it's still up for grabs. Pitching wins championships, and the Tigers' pitching staff is one of the best around.)

Hell yeah they will be still hot the ******* white sox in the south will not get past the damn first round. The Tigers will win the division and the White Sox will be cold after the all star break. And you want to know some thing else the Tigers will win it all. THERE IS NO STOPPING THE TIGERS. One more thing **** THE WHITE SOX.

No. They will be playing teams in their division that are playing better. They are 8-14 against teams in the AL that are playoff contenders. This month they get CH, MN, KC, and Cleve. All are playing much better now. It would not surprise me to see Detroit collapse and finish below 90 wins and miss the playoffs. They are no lock for the playoffs either. The yanks are only 6 back in the loss column.

They are for real. They have solid pitching and offense up and down the lineup. The number of wins on the road is the most likely stat that wont continue in the second half.

Hard to think they can keep up this crazy pace. Chicago does worry me, but don't think Mr. Ilitch is going to stand idly by and watch his team fizzle now. Expect some additions to the team before the tradeline. Love them Tigers!
