They embrace and fight for that right for people who lie and smear America, like Micheal Moore, Natlie Maines, Al Franklin, the NEW YORK POST, and countless others,...but when someone like Ann Coulter comes along,..LOOK OUT!!!

The fact is that there are two forces at work in the U.S.A., i.e., Good and Evil. The Democratic Party today is evil. Most democrats today are atheists, abortionists, homosexuals and any number of other perversions. Democrats today are generally anti-family oriented. There are of course some ignorant souls who still believe that the Democratic Party cares about the underprivileged and poor in America. But they are being lied to as well. The Democratic Party's main weapon today is the lie. Lies are destructive and ultimately the Democratic Party intends to deceive all Americans and destroy the freedom that we presently have. Not unlike terrorism, only in a slower and more deceitful way.
Oh, you may think my words are harsh, unfair, unreasonable and without merit. Well, look around at the evidence...... there is evil in U.S.A. (as in all the world) and evil tries to reach into all aspects of American life. And evil also has leadership..... and that leadership in the U.S.A. is the Democratic Party.

You are as hypocritical as those liberals you criticize. Step back a bit - one guy doesn't want to hear Moore or Franken, another doesn't want to hear Coulter or Hannity. Just exactly how do they differ except in point of view?? Obviously the right has had greater success in censoring programs than the left (that stupid Reagan movie a year or so ago; the tv series with a Jesus figure sitting on the couch conversing with the protagonist) So what is your complaint - that you have to listen to Moore and Franken at all, that they aren't locked up somewhere??

I think liberals are more concerned with Coulter's motivation for saying the things she says...and the overall effect that her perspective has on perceptions of and public discourse about politics. The other examples you mention, like Moore or Franken, are coming from an entirely different perspective and motivation for voicing their perspectives. Plus, in your estimation, what makes Coulter's words the "truth" over anyone else's.

Probably the same reason that I (a republican) am a hypocrite when it comes to free speach. In the end, it's ok for us to complain about them, but I wouldn't have MM, NM AF or the NYP thrown in jail for their views either. It's ok to disagree - I don't think THEY (dems) are trying to assassinate Ann Coulter or anything. They just think she's a punk like we KNOW those others are punk.
Dems and Republicans are just opposite sides of the same coin - I don't see anything changing here - and while we're in deadlock, the world is changing around us. Pathetic.

Gee I'm amazed!!! More Liberal bashing. Why is what we do or say so scary to you? Both sides have opinions. I may not agree with you but I will defend your right to say what you please. Someone like Ann Coulter is dangerous to both sides. Not just Liberals or Democrats. You don't like ours, we don't like yours but we should BOTH question extremists like Coulter. If the truth hit her in the face she wouldn't recognize it and it does Republicans no good to use her as an example . They should condemn their own when they are wrong. The problem as I see it is, if we disagree with you we are anti-American, if you disagree with us you are the best Americans there are!!!! Some, not all, of you and yours are really dogmatic. American is a land of freedoms and one is to agree to disagree. Name calling is unnecessary and serves no purpose.

Why wouldn't they be hyprocrites when it comes to freedom of speech, they are hypocrites when it comes to everything else.
They simply have an elitest attitude in that they believe they are so far superior to everyone else, that the rules that should apply to us 'lower people' need not apply to them, because they are just 'smarter' then the rest of us.

They don't like other people's idea of the truth. There's not much support for their positions so they have to shoot down opposing positions by any means they can.
