ok hard to write these questions as u can't put powers in this well so here goes
* means power, and best if u write down for me plz.

6*(3n) X 9*(n+1)
______________
8*(n)

1a) simplify (leave in index form)
1b) hence or otherwise, for what value of n does
6*(3n) X 9*(n+1)
______________ = 1
8*(n)

REPHRASE UR QUESTION

numerator = 6^(3n) X 9^(n+1)

= ( 3 X 2 )^(3n) X 3^{2(n+1)}

= 3^(3n) X 2^(3n) X 3^{2(n+1)}

denom

= 8^n = 2^(3n)

Thus num/denom
= 3^(3n) X 3^{2(n+1)}

= 3^(5n+2)

this will b 1 when 5n+2 = 0
or n = -2/5

So ur question was.......
6*3n x 9*(n+1)
--------------------------
8n

My answer.....
(2x3)*3n x 3*2n x 3*2
-------------------------------
2*3n

so (2x3)*3n= 2*3n x 3*3n

now substituting the value of (2x3)*3n..

2*3n x 3*3n x 3*2n x 3*2
--------------------------------------
2*3n

so 2*3n of numerator and 2*3n of denominator will get cancelled.
leaving....
3*2n x 3*2

So u 1st question's answer is
1> 3*3n x 3*2n x 3*2=3*5n x 9

2> n= -2/5...

2*3n x 3*3n x 3*2n x 3*2
------------------------------------- = 1
2*3n

so 2*3n of numerator n denominator will get cancelled leaving....

3*3n x 3*2n x 3*2 = 1
3*5n x 9 =1
3*5n = 1/9
3*5n =3*-2
so the base is same so 2 will get cancelled leaving
5n = -2 ....
hence n = -2/5
