I don't get the big issue over te toilet seat. I put it down, he puts it up. No fuss, no muss. Now getting him to put the toilet paper back on the holder instead of the counter would be a miracle!

I think it has to do with us peeing on the toilet seat - or that pee gets on the bottom of the toilet seat.
I don't think that all women complain about it though. For those that it bothers, I think it's a small gesture - doesn't take us any time and if they appreciate it.... why not.

Because you are asking us to touch the toilet seat that you probably splashed piss on. If you put it down, we only have to squat over it. We do not like touching that filth. Why do you think we wear gloves when we clean it. Are you asking us to wear gloves when we take a leak?

They just are too lazy to check if the seat is down before they sit. And you had better lift it before you pee, or you will get quite an earful for that.

Man, it's a global female issue!!! We are lifting it in order not to drip on it while taking a leak, but I think women don't want to touch it in order to lower it!
