I believe he's the real deal

I think he is real. I have been watching him for years on those psychic channels way before he became famous in Most haunted. Its easy to think he is acting on Most Haunted cos its so dramatic. Who knows....Maybe he is faking it on there to get the ratings. But in general I believe he has the gift by the way he talks to his guide Sam.

I watch Most Haunted with a grain of salt. I believe in the paranormal, but I don't believe in Derek Acorah. I think Derek is a very good showman and has that ability to get the audience, crew, and fellow presenters on his show hyped up. He is good at what he does, but I think he is well aware that what he does is fake. But I think the show is fun and it's great to see all the historical sites he visits. If you believe he is the real deal then that's okay, watch his show and enjoy it for what you get out of it.
I just watch it for pure entertainment.
Favorite Derek Acorah line: He wants to be left alone! (said in his most deep haunting voice).
Go Derek! You keep us amused here at home!

Fake

I think he might have some sort of ability but whatever it is, he exaggerates it on Most Haunted (how many people think Yvette is waaayyy too jumpy?). It would not, however, surprise me if it turned out the show was faked - Most Haunted doesn't always seem... professional. (And the link posted by another commentor about Ciaran O'Keefe furthers my suspiscions...) Whether real or not, he's certainly comical to watch, especially when Yvette gets reeled in by his antics.

Real mostly, but exaggeration plays a major role

Id like to think he was real but I can't help thinking he exaggerates a little.

a gypsy that read my palm said she knew him and his family, she said he is a big fake, and it all came from books. he gives the real romanies a bad name. a good showman, and actor though.
