As suggested above, you can have tickers for free from NSE or BSE. For other softwares, you need to specify what exactly you are looking for. If nothing much complicated is required, you can build one for your basic requirements at Excel. For most of the other softwares, you may be required to pay to the vendor, pirated versions could be disastrous!!!

If you are registered with any broker, they allow access to their library to their clients with some limitations. Substantial requirements are met this way also.
